But most audiobooks and nearly every full-cast drama are published there as ordinary music albums with dozens or hundreds of tracks, and Spotify treats an album like music. Play something else in between, and the album has forgotten where you were. There is no bookmark.

You tell it, in one gesture. While the track is playing in Spotify, open its ··· menu, choose Share, and pick Plotkeep. Plotkeep resolves that track into its album plus your chapter number and saves the entry. Later you tap ▶ on that entry and Spotify opens exactly that track.

No. Plotkeep never watches your listening. It has no Spotify login and nothing running in the background, so it cannot see what you play. An entry exists only because you shared a track to it yourself.

Yes, and you almost certainly have it already. Without Premium, Spotify only shuffles albums on a phone, so an album-length audiobook cannot be heard in order at all — that is true with or without Plotkeep. Plotkeep itself is not a subscription and does not add one.

On your iPhone, and nowhere else. There is no account and no sign-up, and your list is never uploaded to a server. The one thing Plotkeep asks the network for is the track list of the album you shared.
